Once a month HACER will schedule a Night Out where we will experience the different Hispanic cultures represented in Houston. Activities may include eating at Latin American restaurants, watching folkloric dance performances, attending Hispanic/Latin art museum exhibits, and, most importantly, dancing at our favorite salsa/merengue clubs. (or we may just go bowling...)

Dinner at Cafe Miami
Cafe Miami (713-772-3042) is a Cuban restaurant located at 6114 Bissonnet. Read about the restaurant at Houston.CitySearch.Com. An average dinner plate costs around $10. On Sat Sep 29, please meet at the RMC circular drive at 6:30 pm. If you have a car, we would appreciate it if you could give people a ride. Come dressed for clubbing afterwards. If you'll be going, please email Mayra to let her know.

Dancing at Metropolis Discoteque
Metropolis (713-975-1917) is the most popular Latin club in Houston for Rice undergrads. It's located at 8935 Richmond. Read about the club at Houston.CitySearch.Com. On Saturdays they play Salsa/Merengue, Cumbias--a good mix of everything in the large room. The small room has Hip/Hop. The cover for minors is $10-12 but you only pay about $6 if you're over 21. On Sat Sep 29, we will be going to the club around 10:30pm after dinner at Cafe Miami. Feel free to meet up with us at the club. Please let Mari know if you will be going.
